Job Circular: Technical Manager (Health and wellbeing product) Position: Technical Manager Location: New Zealand Industry: Export and import Employment Type: 10 hrs/week About the Role We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Technical Manager to join our company. The successful candidate will focus on nurturing long-term, high-value client relationships with pharmaceutical industries, government health systems, and research institutions. This role goes beyond traditional sales, emphasizing strategic partnerships and mutual business growth. Key Responsibilities Strategic Account Management • Develop and execute detailed account plans aligned with customer needs and company goals. • Identify and leverage growth opportunities through upselling and cross-selling. • Lead contract negotiations, renewals, and manage account-specific initiatives. Relationship Development • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including pharmaceutical industries, procurement officers, commercial officers. • Serve as the primary contact, ensuring seamless communication between clients and internal teams. • Coordinate with marketing and customer support to deliver comprehensive solutions. Market and Customer Expertise • Understand client business, biomedical/ nutraceuticals/ health and well being products, and administrative workflows deeply. • Analyze market trends and competitor activities to inform strategic decision-making. • Deep knowledge of product mode of action. Business and Performance Management • Achieve and exceed sales within assigned accounts. • Track and report sales performance, providing accurate forecasts. • Proactively resolve client issues to ensure satisfaction and retention. Specialized Knowledge and Expertise • Deep knowledge biology, physiology, biochemistry, and pathology, enabling effective communication with medical and technical stakeholders. • Understanding of healthcare environments, products composition and mode of actions. • Familiarity with regulatory compliance and industry standards. • Experience with research, protocols, and quality assurance processes that can be relevant for nutraceutical products. • Understanding of clinical trials, disease or symptoms mechanisms and the remedies. • Understanding of clinical trial data, laboratory analysis reports, certifications etc. Preferred Qualifications • Master’s or higher degree in biomedical science, Bioinformatics, Life Sciences, or related field. • Experience in research on natural medicinal products, pharmaceuticals, or a related biomedical sector.
